Can I run a torrent tracker with your services?

No, trackers simply use too much resources and generally should never be running on a shared server anyway, if you do, your seeders and peers will hate you since it will probably be down for the majority of the day.

Will you host my porn site?

Generally no, we do not host any type of pornography, however, in terms of adult content, as long as it is art related and LEGAL (meaning no kids) then it SHOULD be ok, please contact our sales team before ordering if this is what you plan on doing.

Can I SSH into your server?

Yes and No, we only allow SSH to specific users and your account must be in good standing before you can request SSH access. Generally we don't want everyone logging in and possibly damaging things, if you want to transfer your site over, then please see "Will you help me transfer my current site"

Will you help me transfer my current site?

Yes, if your current host uses cPanel, it will take no more than 24 business hours. However, if your current host does NOT use cPanel it may take a little more time, we aren't saying it can't be done though.

What is Fantastico?

Fantasitco is a simple script installer created by netenberg.com that allows our users to install scripts (message boards, blogs, photo galleries) with a few simple clicks. You can find a FULL list of scripts at http://www.netenberg.com/fantastico_scripts.php

What is WebDisk?

cPanel WebDisk is a brand new feature that allows you to create a desktop icon for your Windows computer and upload files by dragging and dropping files into this folder. It is very easy and requires no additional software.

What if I want a package with more space/bandwidth?

Unfortunately at this time we do NOT offer custom packages, the reason is we have had the same hosting packages for a long time and we feel they work the best for our users and for our technicians. You can however purchase additional resources at $1/100MB Space or $1/GB Bandwidth.

Do you offer (insert feature here)?

No, not at this time, if you would like (insert feature here), please email our sales team and suggest it to us, the more suggestions the faster it may become avialable.

Do you perform backups of my files?

Yes and No, we do perform backups, but they are only done weekly, you are ultimately responsible for making your own backups, our servers have cPanel installed to allow our users to create their own FULL backup daily by clicking on a single button.

What is Basic technical support?

Well, it's basic technical support, so if you have a problem with your account, we will try to help you fix it, if you forgot your password, we can reset it for you, if you are having a problem with a common script, we will help you find out what is going on, we can't guarantee our technicians will know how to fix every single script out there, they are humans.. we think.

How long does it take my account to become active?

With our NEAR INSTANT ACTIVATION and the latest in fraud technologies, most accounts are usually active within a few minutes of payment. However, there is sometimes a delay of up to 24 hours, if your account is still not active within 24 hours, please contact our sales team.

Yes in fact we do, if within 14 days of payment, you are not fully satisfied with your account, we will provide a 100% refund.

Yes, PayPal is our preferred payment method.

Do you accept CASH?

Yes, but only if you will hand deliever it to our sales office. (It's illegal to mail notes or coins in the mail)

Will you price match?

No, we are not a electronics retailer, our goal here is not to provide the lowest prices but to provide the best value. We believe too many fly by hosts are out there overselling what they really have, which is why we offer a higher class of hosting service by NOT overselling. Simple isn't it.

How fast is your network?

Each server has a minimum 100MB connection and multi-homed gigabit backbone with a network 99.9% SLA., so simply said, our network is pretty damn fast! Our servers are also placed in different data centers around North America to ensure the fastest connection to you right now we have servers in iWeb (Montreal, Canada), OLM (Trumbull, United States), and Virpus (Kansis City, United States). How long has SwiftHost.net been in Business?

We have been around since early 2002, so from my calculations, that would be 6 years so far. So no, we are not a fly by hosting company.

Can I trust SwiftHost.net?

No you cannot, what kind of question is this? Although we require our staff to have a sense of humor, we also have strict privacy policies set in place. When we work, we work hard, when we play, we play hard.

Can I host other people under my account?

Yes, when you pay for your hosting package, you can do anything you want (within our terms of service and acceptable use policy). You can host as many friends as you want under your account provided you do not go over your account's resources.

You said I can do anything, does this mean I can host a five million user forum?

No, you are still sharing the server with other users, please don't be greedy and horde it all. If you want to host a large forum or media intensive site like that then I would suggest you get a dedicated server. 100GB won't be enough for that anyway, unless of course you don't mind paying thousands of dollars in bandwidth overage fees, in that case, then go ahead!
